What’s in a name…

In every language and culture there are many common terms to show affection. In Arabic, habibti is a loving way to show your closeness with the females in your life. You can use it for your girlfriends, your mother, your sisters, your wife, your aunties, and your daughters. The Habibti Collective is a place for a special kind of woman to discover unique pieces to decorate their home or accentuate their wardrobe. We felt habibti would represent this gathering of women with similar desires, style and creativity that will hopefully go on to form a passionate community, The Habibti Collective.

Why do we exist…

What you wear is a creative self-expression, how you are feeling today and what kind of person you are or want to be that day. Your home style is a long lasting puzzle that becomes more intricate over time and tells a story of who you’ve been, where you’ve been and what is important to you. Each piece has a story behind it of why you acquired it and what it represents to you.

What makes us special…

The Habibti Collective’s merchandise is carefully curated to satisfy complementary passions for Travel & Style. We want to indulge women’s wanderlust for exotic lands and stimulate their artistic side. We are for the artist, the well-traveled woman, and the woman with sophisticated taste.

What is our purpose…

We love travel and style, but we are also big supporters of Theodore Roosevelt’s maxim “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.” So we wouldn’t have a business that didn’t give back! To Learn More About How We Give Back visit our Give Page.

How did we come to be...

Our founder's love of Middle Eastern design began on a trip to Marrakesh back in 2012, while she was a Fashion Industry Management student at Philadelphia University. Well truthfully, she had been drawn to arabesques and the craftsmanship of the region long before then which is what inspired her trip. After that trip she knew she needed to delve deeper into the rich cultures of MENA. Amelia has now been living in Dubai, UAE and traveling the Middle East for the last 6 years. Last year, as she began to plan her move back to North America, to be closer to her family once again, she knew she wouldn't be happy to fully leave the cultures she came to love so intimately. This is when the idea for The Habibti Collective was conceived. For Amelia, this was the perfect way to use her love for fashion and home decorating while also sharing the beautiful work by designers and ateliers she discovered in Middle East with women back home in North America. Amelia believes the items carefully selected for The Habibti Collective resonate well with North American women because of their unique designs and exceptional quality.
